Introduction

I am Bryan Pak from class 3K. I am the CEC of class 3K, and I have been part of the Moor House Junior EXCO ever since the position opened in Year 1. I also ran for the Prefectorial Board in Year 2. My CCA is shooting and my weapon type is the rifle. I was part of the Moor House Junior EXCO since Year 1, when the position was first established. Being a part of the Junior EXCO gave me many chances to contribute back to Moor House. During Track and Field 2019, I helped to distribute balloons and headbands to other Moorians, to show our support to those who were representing Moor House. At the start of this year, I was involved in the sweatshirt distribution during the first house meeting of the year, which gave me a further glimpse into the organisation of the Moor House EXCO. I believe this gives me a steppingstone into being a part of the Moor House EXCO. I am also part of the CEC of class 3K this year. Being a CEC has taught me how to manage the various activities that the Prefectorial...

Reasons for Running for Moor House

I would like to become part of the Moor House EXCO as I see this as an excellent opportunity to give back to Moor House and the school. Through the many school activities that I have represented Moor House in, I have developed greater responsibility, perseverance and commitment. Responsibility: When I set a goal for Moor House, even when it is tough, I will follow through the entire process and make sure that is completed. Perseverance: Even when I do not bring home the best result for Moor House, I do not give up and continue to represent Moor House. Commitment: I am dedicated to Moor House and will put my heart and soul into organising activities for the house. I strongly reflect the Moor House Motto "Redoutable Et Fougueux", which means fiery and formidable, as I have the passion to represent Moor House in sports and games, especially track and field. I want to play a part in developing Moor House, which is the house I have represented, so that other and future Moorians ca...

Direction of Moor House

My vision for the Moor House EXCO is to be a group of passionate and responsible Moorians who have objective standards to meet. We cannot organise activities that only the EXCO enjoys, or just for the sake of organising activities to show that the EXCO is doing something, but we need to organise activities that Moorians will enjoy, to make the lives of Rafflesians in Moor House more impactful, and will be remembered for a long time to come. If elected, I propose to give each EXCO member a role such that each member has a title of recognition. The six EXCO positions can be divided into Captain Vice-Captain 1 Merch EXCO in charge of managing Moor House Merch 2 Games EXCO in charge of organising games for Moorians 1 Outreach EXCO in charge of communicating the plans of the EXCO to other Moorians and managing the Instagram page.  Captain and Vice-Captain overlook the entire process.  In this way, the organisation of the Moor House EXCO is much more organised and each EXCO member...

Plans For Moor House: House Merchandise

I plan to continue the production of sweatshirts, but with new designs. For the previous design of Moor House sweatshirt, There was no way of contributing your own designs, which was a system that was not very effective because we were unable to recruit Moorians with artistic abilities, such as those in Art Elective Programme.  The following is the concrete timeline for how this plan will be rolled out: I propose to organise a sweatshirt design competition as soon as possible, such that designs can be submitted before end-of-year examinations Moorians can vote after the end-of-year examinations The sweatshirts can be delivered at the start of 2022, during the first house meeting, similar to what happened this year For new house merchandise, I also want to add multi-folder files, towels, pencil cases, socks, water bottles and face masks to the list of merchandise.  All these merchandises have some purpose to them and are not designed just for the sake of designing house merchan...

Plans for Moor House: Challenges and Games

My next plan is to add house challenges. House challenges are open to all Moorians. The EXCO will decide on a certain topic or challenge that Moorians will have to record themselves doing, send it to an email address, and the winners will win some Moor House merchandise. Some examples of challenges are: Recording a TikTok with a few friends, wearing Moor House merchandise, and performing the “Moor we want more” cheer Coming up with an original cheer to add to the library of already existing cheers. This encourages house spirit through the organisation of fun activities. I would also like to implement interhouse games. Like Moor X Bayley Week which the EXCO shared during the first house meeting, I hope that we can expand this plan to the other three houses, namely Buckley, Hullett and Morrison. Participation from Moorians will also earn them Moor House merchandise, which encourages Moorians to take part. Due to COVID-19, I plan to implement non-contact sports like badminton or 4v4 vol...

Plans For Moor House: Other Plans

I plan to add something new to each house meeting, which is the Moor House Meeting Talent Show. I feel that other Moorians think that house meetings are boring, and I hope that this 5 to 10-minute show allows house meetings to be more engaging, and Moorians can learn more about their house mates in new ways and discover hobbies or fun facts about their house mates. Some examples of what can be performed are playing a musical instrument, singing, performing magic tricks, et cetera. Moorians can vote for their favourite act after the house meeting, and the winner can win Moor House merchandise. I plan to implement a Moor House Study Group during the school holidays. Sometimes, whenever I have help with my schoolwork and want to ask my classmates for help urgently, I find that they too may be unable to help me. I believe that this is also the same for many other Moorians. As such, a study group can widen the scope that Moorians can seek academic help from. For example, Year 1 and Year 2 s...
